Senior Construction Manager – Commercial Construction

A growing General Contractor with strong ties to Southern California is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead and oversee commercial construction projects ranging from $5M–$50M+. Projects include ground-up developments, renovations, and tenant improvements across multiple commercial sectors. This leadership role will be responsible for managing project teams, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout• Oversee project managers, superintendents, and project teams• Coordinate with estimating and preconstruction teams during project planning• Manage project budgets, schedules, and overall project performance• Review and negotiate contracts, scopes, and change orders• Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards• Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors• Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve issues proactively• Provide leadership in value engineering, cost control, and schedule optimization• Support business development efforts and maintain client partnerships

Qualifications

• 12+ years of commercial construction experience• 5+ years in a project leadership or senior management role• Proven experience managing $5M–$50M+ commercial construction projects• Background in ground-up construction, renovations, and tenant improvements• Strong understanding of budgets, scheduling, contracts, and project controls• Experience managing multiple project teams and complex project portfolios• Established relationships with subcontractors, owners, and consultants in Orange County, Los Angeles, and the Inland Empire• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
