If so, you will find the consulting engineer position at BR&E to be most fulfilling and rewarding. In the fast-paced environment of a consulting engineer, you will face new challenges daily in terms of developing relationships with clients, solving technical process issues, scheduling visits and training classes, and ensuring that customers are receiving the most value from working with BR&E.

    Responsibilities

    • Help clients in the refining industry diagnose and solve process-related problems
    • Provide high level support for ProMax (process simulation software)
    • Work with customers individually and in large groups
    • Teach ProMax training courses
    • Provide on-site client support and training
    • Promote additional ProMax use and sales
    • Develop and maintain training materials

    Requirements

    • Extensive experience in Refinery Process Operations
    • Ability to diagnose and solve problems in a variety of settings (e.g. face-to-face, phone, Internet)
    • Capacity to tackle multiple assignments simultaneously with minimal supervision
    • Competence with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Visio
