    Senior Controls Engineer Position Available Wilmington, MA

Our client is renowned for its expertise in designing, programming, and deploying cutting-edge automation systems across a diverse range of industries, including manufacturing, commercial buildings, and public utilities. They are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to lead projects in Addison, IL, driving innovation and excellence in automation solutions.

    About the Role:

    The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in project management and hardware engineering, delivering bespoke automation systems tailored to client needs. This position offers the opportunity to:

    • Lead and mentor a dynamic team of engineers from requirements gathering to specifications development and final deployment.
    • Showcase technical proficiency in automation solutions, including PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA platforms.
    • Directly engage with customers to identify needs and transform them into cutting-edge solutions.
    • Develop control system architectures, select components, and oversee the production of schematic diagrams and system documentation.
    • Ensure project success and client satisfaction, fostering long-term partnerships.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Delivering innovative automation solutions, either independently or by leading a team.
    • In-depth knowledge of control hardware, including design standards for motor control centers and hazardous area panel design.
    • Designing and implementing control system networks using industry-standard protocols (Ethernet/IP, ProfiNET, Modbus).
    • Acting as a technical lead, guiding junior engineers and technicians.
    • Managing projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and overseeing daily operations, with a direct impact on project profitability.

    • Proven engineering talent with a versatile skill set and the ability to work independently.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent interpersonal skills, and a keen interest in business efficiency and partnerships.
    • Experience in project management, with a focus on delivering projects up to $1.5M on time and within budget.
