This role is required to report to our Cambridge office 3 days per week - Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

About Us

EverQuote is a leading AI-powered growth solutions partner for regulated property and casualty insurance entities, enabling the largest insurance carriers and thousands of agents to maximize customer acquisition across digital channels. Fueled by our proprietary data assets and our AI traffic engine, EverQuote is transforming the way providers attract and engage consumers to grow market share.

Joining our team puts you at the forefront of this transformation. You will collaborate with a group of builders to solve complex problems and reshape a massive industry. If you want to drive real-world impact and do the best work of your career, you've found your home. We move fast, follow the data, and hold ourselves to high standards. If that's how you work too, this is the role for you.

About the Role

EverQuote is seeking a Senior Copywriter to join our Marketing team, specifically focusing on our innovative upper-funnel platform. In this role, you'll help us architect a brand-forward, AI-optimized quoting experience and the content supporting that experience. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that our voice remains differentiated, memorable, and consistent across every consumer touchpoint.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a high-energy, collaborative environment and has a proven track record of crafting compelling narratives for consumer-facing audiences.

An online portfolio or curated writing samples are required for consideration. We want to see how you think and how you execute across different mediums. Applications submitted without a portfolio or writing samples will not proceed to the review stage.

What You'll Do
  • Partner closely with Design and under the guidance of the Senior Manager, Brand Marketing to concept and write high-impact copy across all channels, including omni-channel campaigns, email, social, PR, and video.
  • Champion EverQuote's brand voice and messaging strategy, ensuring consistency while pushing for creative evolution.
  • Leverage performance metrics and customer insights to inform your writing and guide smarter creative decisions.
  • Engage in thoughtful, objective critiques with peers and cross-functional partners. You are someone who views feedback as a tool for growth and remains adaptable through revisions.
What You Bring to the Team (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4-6 years experience writing for consumer audiences (in-house or agency). Experience in insurance, fintech, or high-growth tech is a significant plus.
  • Equally comfortable crafting punchy, actionable short-form copy (subject lines, social ads) as you are developing complex, long-form narratives (site content, testimonial campaigns).
  • Possess a deep passion for the mechanics of writing-grammar, syntax, and punctuation-while remaining innovative in your problem-solving.
  • Endlessly curious about the customer journey, seeking to understand their passions, needs, and pain points to create more resonant content.
  • Strong communicator who can articulate your creative vision, ground your opinions in proof points, and work seamlessly with designers and channel leads.
  • Have a positive, experimental mindset toward AI tools and how they can enhance the creative process.
