Senior Core Java Architect

Job Title: Senior Core Java Architect
Location: Chicago, IL (within 50 miles).
Salary Range:- $65/hr - $70/hr on W2

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 15+ years of experience developing server-side applications using Core Java, with significant architecture or technical leadership experience.

• Strong expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, JVM tuning, garbage collection, multithreading, algorithms, and data structures.

• Experience applying AI to software engineering, including AI-assisted development, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and evaluation.

• Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, architectural patterns, distributed systems, and microservices.

• Experience designing RESTful APIs, web services, and scalable applications, with strong SQL and relational database skills.

• Experience with messaging technologies such as IBM MQ, JMS, Kafka, AMPS, or TIBCO.

• Experience with React and modern front-end development.

• Knowledge of Linux/UNIX, TCP/IP, socket programming, and high-availability systems.

• Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, Ansible, and CI/CD practices.

• Experience troubleshooting complex production issues and supporting performance-sensitive systems.

• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline.

Desired Qualifications:

• Python development experience in production services, automation, or analytics.

• Experience designing secure, governed agentic AI solutions in enterprise environments.
