    Description

    Senior Corporate Accountant - Real Estate

    Top Real Estate firm located just outside of Boston is hiring for a Senior Corporate Accountant! This is a fantastic opportunity to join a close-knit team and friendly workplace environment. The individual in this role will be responsible for preparation and review of the monthly and quarterly reporting. This person will also work closely with the Controller, as well as the Leadership Team on tasks related to budgeting, forecasting, ad hoc reporting, and development of the internal staff.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee all aspects of accounting; financial statements, general ledger, budgeting, and revenue recognition.
    • Be responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to executive team.
    • Continuously assess accounting and finance operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes
    • Ensure organizations financial transactions are properly recorded in the correct accounts within the GL, in compliance with GAAP
    • Prepare and review annual/quarterly budgets vs. actual operating statements on property and managing entity level.
    • Coordinate with external auditors for annual year-end audit.
    • Review the work of junior-level staff and provide mentorship.
    • Perform other duties and ad hoc projects as needed.

    Requirements:

    • 3+ years of corporate Accounting experience
    • Real Estate industry experience is preferred but not required
    • Public Accounting is a plus but not required
    • CPA preferred but not required
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent
    • Ability to communicate effectively
    • Interest in growing with the organization
