Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and analysis of cost reports, identifying significant variances, and providing detailed explanations and solutions.
- Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization.
- Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings, contributing to the formulation of the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting and forecasting reports to senior management.
- Provide financial reporting, including detailed margin analysis, to enhance decision-making processes.
- Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives and drive financial understanding throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, enhance understanding of cost drivers, and provide cost-related guidance.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changes in financial regulations and legislation.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required. CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and financial modeling.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost accounting principles.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proven experience in driving process improvements and specific skills in Kaizen methodologies preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills. Experience with ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently, manage large, complex projects, and balance multiple tasks.
- Proven track record of working effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
- Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
