Senior Cost Manager

Role Overview


We are currently recruiting for a Senior Cost Manager to support the delivery of complex data center construction projects. This is an opportunity to join an established team working across mission-critical developments, including new build facilities, expansions, and infrastructure upgrades.


The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the commercial and contractual performance of large-scale data center projects, ensuring value for money, strong cost control, and effective stakeholder management throughout the project lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities


  • Act as an integral member of the commercial team accountable for project cost and contractual performance
  • Support the delivery of value for money across all stages of the project lifecycle
  • Undertake post-contract duties in line with established commercial and procurement strategies
  • Lead cost planning, estimating, procurement, and change management processes
  • Monitor and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety, Security, and Quality standards
  • Manage and administer construction contracts
  • Support stakeholder engagement and client account development
  • Prioritise workloads effectively to meet project deadlines
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery processes


Qualifications


  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline


Experience


  • Demonstrable CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) cost management experience
  • Experience delivering data center or other mission-critical construction projects
  • Proven technical and project delivery experience
  • Background within consultancy, contractor, developer, or client-side organisations
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • Experience managing multiple workstreams and meeting tight deadlines
