Job Description
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute authenticated vulnerability assessments and manual penetration testing.
- Develop rules of engagement, testing methodologies, and risk-based assessment plans.
- Conduct web application, API, network, authentication, authorization, and privilege-boundary testing.
- Assess enterprise applications, including Oracle/ERP environments, PeopleSoft PIA, PeopleTools, and Integration Broker where applicable.
- Perform automated scanning and manually validate vulnerabilities to distinguish exploitable risks from false positives.
- Evaluate attack paths, security misconfigurations, and potential exposure of sensitive information.
- Prepare technical findings, remediation recommendations, and executive-level reports.
- Support occasional customer advisory discussions and future cybersecurity engagements.
Required Qualifications- 7+ years of hands-on vulnerability assessment and penetration testing experience.
- Strong experience with enterprise web applications, APIs, network security, and authenticated testing.
- Proficiency with Burp Suite Professional, Nmap, TLS testing tools, and enterprise vulnerability scanners.
- Experience conducting production-safe penetration testing.
- Familiarity with Oracle, ERP, Red Hat/Linux, or similar enterprise environments.
- Ability to independently manage short-duration security engagements.
- Strong communication, documentation, and customer-facing advisory skills.
- Hands-on certifications such as OSCP, GPEN, GWAPT, GXPN, PNPT, or CREST strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications- PeopleSoft PIA, PeopleTools, and Integration Broker security testing experience.
- Salesforce security assessment experience.
- Experience supporting higher education or regulated organizations.
- Previous independent consulting or cybersecurity advisory experience.
