Job Description
Kforce has a client in Tampa, FL that is seeking a Data Analyst.
Responsibilities:
- Senior Data Analyst will partner with business stakeholders to identify, analyze, and document business and data requirements
- Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, process flows, data mappings, and high-level technical specifications
- Use SQL to analyze large datasets, identify trends, investigate issues, and provide actionable business insights
- Collaborate with technical and data teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and accurately implemented
- Perform data validation, mapping, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities
- As a Senior Data Analyst, you will support enterprise reporting, analytics, data, and business transformation initiatives
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including coordination with business users and validation of delivered solutions
- Create and maintain business process documentation, requirements, and other project artifacts
- Manage and prioritize requirements in collaboration with Product Owners and key stakeholders
- Serve as a liaison between business and technology teams throughout the solution delivery lifecycle
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar business/data-focused role
- Advanced SQL skills with hands-on experience querying and analyzing large datasets
- Strong experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional and high-level technical specifications
- Experience supporting enterprise data, reporting, analytics, or transformation initiatives
- Hands-on experience with data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and data quality processes
- Experience with reporting and visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Sigma, or comparable BI tools
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments
- Financial services or capital markets experience required
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and analytics concepts
- Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and documentation skills
- Familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud-based data platforms is preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
