Senior Data Engineer – Snowflake Contract: 6–9 Months Location- Plano, TX
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong Snowflake expertise to design, build, optimize, and support enterprise cloud data pipelines and data products. Key Responsibilities:
Develop complex batch, incremental, and near-real-time data pipelines using Snowflake.
Build scalable ETL/ELT frameworks using SQL, Python, Snowpark, Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and Dynamic Tables.
Optimize Snowflake performance, warehouse usage, clustering, and compute costs.
Develop data models, data quality checks, monitoring, error handling, and recovery processes.
Implement CI/CD, testing, source control, security, governance, and RBAC best practices.
Collaborate with architects, data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders.
Explore Snowflake Cortex/AI capabilities and support AI/ML data use cases.
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of enterprise cloud data engineering experience.
5+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience.
Strong SQL and Python development skills.
Experience with modern data engineering, ETL/ELT, orchestration, CI/CD, and data modeling.
Strong knowledge of Snowflake security, governance, performance, and cost optimization.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred:
SnowPro Core or Advanced certification.
Healthcare, biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences experience.
Snowflake Cortex, AI/ML, MLOps, or feature pipeline experience.
