Senior Data Modeler

Our client is seeking a Senior Data Modeler with 8–10 years of experience to design and maintain enterprise-scale data models supporting analytics and reporting initiatives in a financial services environment.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise-scale platforms
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, efficient data solutions
• Develop and optimize SQL queries to support analytics, reporting, and downstream business intelligence
• Implement and manage data structures and governance within Snowflake environments
• Apply JSON-based data modeling techniques to design flexible, modern data architectures
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to data modeling best practices across the organization
• Participate in architecture reviews and help evaluate new tools and technologies for data infrastructure

Requirements

• 8–10 years of professional experience in data modeling and database design
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience optimizing complex queries for performance
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions in Snowflake
• Strong expertise in JSON data modeling and handling semi-structured data formats
• Solid understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline development
• Financial services domain knowledge or experience working with financial data structures
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
