Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to design, model, and analyze mechanical systems from concept through production. The engineer will lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM), design-to-cost, product redesign, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) initiatives for complex products. Key Responsibilities:
CAD Modeling: Create 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using CREO.
Structural Analysis: Perform linear and nonlinear static and dynamic stress analysis using ANSYS to verify product strength and durability.
Design Optimization: Improve product weight, reliability, and manufacturability based on simulation results.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with manufacturing and engineering teams to meet project requirements.
Lead or support product design, manufacturing engineering, and industrialization activities.
Support new product development (NPD), engineering change management, production launches, and manufacturing transitions.
Manage customer-facing program or project activities.
Prepare clear technical reports, engineering drawings, and documentation.
Required Skills:
Strong proficiency in CREO for complex surface and solid modeling.
Experience with ANSYS FEA and structural analysis.
Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), design-to-cost, and product redesign.
Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, engineering drawings, and product definition requirements.
Experience with new product development, engineering change management, production launch, or manufacturing transition.
Customer-facing program or project management experience.
Excellent communication, technical writing, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Ability to collaborate with manufacturing teams and meet customer requirements.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Additional Requirements:

Ability to work onsite and travel to supplier or manufacturing locations as required.
