The successful candidate will be equally comfortable shaping financing strategies, guiding sophisticated transactions, resolving complex issues, developing talent, and ensuring disciplined operational execution.This leader will be expected to bring sound judgment, credibility, and a collaborative approach to decisions involving significant financial, regulatory, organizational, and stakeholder considerations.Candidate ProfileCHFA is seeking a proven leader with:Bachelor's degree preferred in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Public Administration, Real Estate, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience, including several years in senior or executive-level roles, with a background in commercial lending, commercial real estate finance, multifamily development, affordable housing finance, or a comparable environment.Demonstrated expertise in multifamily finance and affordable housing development, including LIHTC transaction structuring, and a track record of leading complex, multidisciplinary organizations and sophisticated financing and development activities.Exceptional business judgment and leadership capabilities, including the ability to balance mission, financial performance, risk, regulatory requirements, and market conditions, while developing high-performing teams and translating strategy into results.Outstanding relationship, communication, analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills; experience with a Housing Finance Agency (HFA) is desirable, and advanced knowledge of federal and state LIHTC programs is highly valued.Why CHFACHFA offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of real estate finance, capital markets, government, and public purpose.
