Spotify is looking for a creative, strategic, and sharp editorial voice to join the US Podcast Editorial team. In this role, you'll lead high-visibility editorial projects end to end, partner cross-functionally as a creative and content expert, and shape how listeners discover and engage with podcasts and emerging formats on Spotify. The ideal candidate is a strong writer with a distinct editorial point of view who operates with independence and thrives at the intersection of creative judgment and platform strategy. This role reports into the Associate Director, Podcast Editorial & Audience Development.

What You'll Do

• Drive and lead strategic editorial projects from brief through execution and results, including tentpole programming, format testing, and seasonal initiatives
• Write compelling editorial copy and commentary that brings Spotify's editorial voice to life across curated surfaces and promotional moments
• Partner cross-functionally as a creative and content expert across workstreams spanning product, personalization, and marketing
• Own curation of high-complexity or high-visibility editorial surfaces, maintaining quality, cultural relevance, and freshness
• Collaborate with Partnerships to develop strategies that grow creator audiences on platform
• Represent Editorial's perspective in cross-functional working groups and planning conversations
• Identify cultural moments, content trends, and audience opportunities that can be translated into compelling programming across audio and video formats
• Collaborate with data and analytics teams to inform editorial strategy and measure impact

Who You Are

• 5+ years of experience in editorial, content strategy, or audience development within media, digital, or audio
• An exceptional writer and editor with a sharp voice and the ability to craft copy that resonates with diverse audiences
• A strong editorial point of view paired with the ability to translate creative instincts into strategic plans
• Proven ability to lead complex projects independently and drive them to measurable outcomes
• Skilled cross-functional collaborator who can partner effectively with product, marketing, and technical teams
• Deep knowledge of the podcast and audio/video landscape, including creators, publishers, formats, and audience trends
• Curious and proactive about emerging tools and technology, including AI, and how they can amplify editorial work
• Comfortable working with data to inform decisions and demonstrate editorial impact
• A sharp cultural antenna with genuine enthusiasm for connecting audiences with voices and content they'll love

Where You'll Be

• This role is based in Los Angeles.
• We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
• We ask that you come into the office 2-3 days per week.

The United States base range for this position is $94,000 - $134,000, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six-month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
