Senior Electrical Design Engineer, Data Center Power (PE Preferred)
Austin, TX | Onsite | Full Time

A national electrical power services firm is building out its engineering group in Austin and needs a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead power design on data center and mission critical projects. You'll be the senior technical voice on the team, stamping drawings, owning studies, and developing the designers who support you.

What You'll Do

• Lead electrical power distribution design for data center, commercial, and industrial projects
• Perform and review short circuit, coordination, arc flash, load flow, and voltage drop studies in SKM and ETAP
• Design and specify switchgear, UPS, PDUs, generators, transformers, and relay protection
• Seal and sign drawings and calculations as Engineer of Record
• Mentor and review the work of electrical designers and junior engineers
• Work directly with clients, contractors, and field teams from design through startup

What You Bring

• BS in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of electrical power design experience
• PE license strongly preferred (Texas or able to obtain by comity)
• Data center or mission critical power design experience
• Hands on with SKM and/or ETAP, plus AutoCAD
• Strong working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, and IEEE standards
