    Description

    Mangan, Inc. is a nationally recognized electrical power and control systems engineering firm and is seeking a qualified Electrical Power Engineer in Sugar Land, TX, to aid Mangan's growing electrical power offerings.Key Experience & Skills6+ years' experience in the development of comprehensive electrical construction and specification packages suitable to be stamped by a Professional Engineer and submitted for authority plan check, comprised of at least the following:GroundingConduit and cable schedulesConstruction specificationsEquipment and installation detailsAdditional experience in the following drawings preferred:Area classification drawingsKnowledgeable of the requirements detailed in National Electrical Code (NEC), IEEE 3000 Series (formerly known as color books), and API 500 (preferred)Adept at the use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft ExcelExpertise with power system modeling tools – ETAP or SKMpreferredExpertise in arc flash analysis, short circuit analysis, and protective coordinationExperience in load flow, motor starting, and harmonics preferred.Experience with electrical power relay settings generation and implementation – GE Multilin and SEL preferredHighly effective at written and verbal communicationsEducationBachelor's Degree in Electrical EngineeringFundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam CompletionProfessional Engineer (Electrical) Certification PreferredResponsibilitiesDevelopment of electrical power load studiesDevelopment of comprehensive electrical power construction packages sufficient to be stamped by a Professional Engineer and submitted for authority plan checkDevelopment of electrical power bills of material and coordinate with vendors for procured equipment pricingExecute field verification walkdowns, including as-building existing Electrical and E&I infrastructureExecute factory acceptance testing on electrical power equipmentExecute start-up and commissioning, including electrical power and E&I troubleshooting as requiredProvide quality control and review of project documentation, including power system study reports, drawing packages, and equipment specifications/approval packagesProvide best possible response after hours support for internal/external clients as occursWork with applicable Project Manager(s) to ensure overall quality of commercial deliverables, budget maintenance, etc. Keep the Project Manager(s) informed of technical progress, issues, need for change orders, etc.Assist Project Manager(s) in developing cost estimates and proposals for new project opportunities – providing technical expertise and guidance in applying cost to labor, expense, and procurement itemsTravel +/- 25% with willingness to travel via air#J-18808-Ljbffr
