Job Details
What you'll do:
- Lead electrical and controls design for lifting and motion products across new product development, engineered-to-order and sustaining engineering
- Own schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, cable assemblies, I/O lists and BOMs
- Design power distribution, motor control, braking, VFD, sensor, encoder and safety circuits
- Drive compliance with electrical, functional safety and EMC standards (UL/CSA/IEC/CE)
- Partner with mechanical engineering on electromechanical integration - grounding, routing, environmental protection, serviceability
- Select and qualify supplier components (motors, drives, brakes, connectors, cable, enclosures)
- Lead design reviews, DFMEAs and hazard analyses
- Own verification and validation plans, prototype builds and compliance testing
- Root-cause field and test issues and drive corrective actions; mentor junior engineers
What you need:
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering
- 7+ years of electrical engineering experience in industrial equipment or electromechanical products
- Strong industrial controls background - motor control, VFDs, safety circuits
- AutoCAD Electrical / ECAD and SolidWorks experience
- Experience with functional safety and EMC standards and product certification
Nice to have:
- Cranes, hoists or material handling experience
- PLM/PDM and ERP experience
