Job Description

Prime Robotics is a premier provider of end-to-end automation solutions tailored for distribution centers and warehouses. Prime’s suite of robot and execution software solutions transform fragmented workflows, empowering clients to unlock operational productivity and efficiency. Committed to revolutionizing warehouse, supply chain, and factory operations, Prime strives to elevate businesses through best-in-class automation solutions and services.

Make autonomous robots more dependable in the real world.

Prime Robotics builds automation systems for warehouses and distribution centers. We’re looking for a hands-on electrical engineer to own the electrical reliability of our robots—from battery and charging systems through power distribution, motor drives, wiring, control boards, and embedded computers.

You’ll work directly with hardware in our Denver lab and collaborate with our China-based electrical team, software engineers, mechanical engineers, and field service team. Your work will improve robots already operating at customer sites and shape our next generation of hardware.

What you’ll own

  • Investigate intermittent electrical failures, including unexpected resets, brownouts, docking transients, communication dropouts, and grounding or EMI problems.
  • Reproduce faults, capture measurements, identify root causes, and verify corrective actions under realistic operating conditions.
  • Improve power distribution, DC/DC conversion, protection circuits, grounding, connectors, and harnesses.
  • Review and improve control-board schematics and layouts, working with internal engineers and specialist consultants.
  • Develop repeatable validation tests and practical diagnostic procedures for manufacturing and field service.
  • Provide technical direction and design reviews across our US and China engineering teams.

Success in this role

You establish a repeatable approach to electrical fault diagnosis, deliver verified improvements to robot reliability, and help the team prevent recurring problems through better design and validation practices.

Requirements

What we’re looking for

  • Substantial hands-on experience developing and troubleshooting embedded electronic products or electrically complex equipment.
  • Strong understanding of power electronics, grounding, transient protection, and EMI/EMC.
  • Examples of difficult hardware failures you personally diagnosed and corrected, supported by measurements and verification.
  • Ability to work across circuit boards, wiring, loads, communications, and hardware–firmware interactions.
  • Experience bringing hardware through design, bring-up, testing, and production.
  • Clear communication and the ability to guide engineering decisions across disciplines.

Relevant backgrounds include robotics, industrial automation, motor controls, battery-powered equipment, automotive electronics, aerospace, medical devices, and other demanding embedded systems.

Helpful experience

CAN, RS485, Ethernet, battery management, charging systems, motor drives, embedded C/C++, and collaboration with overseas engineering or manufacturing teams.

Prior robotics experience is welcome. Strong electrical engineering judgment and demonstrated troubleshooting ability are essential.

The base salary range for this role is $130,000–$170,000 annually. Compensation is flexible within this range based on demonstrated technical capability, relevant experience, and the scope of responsibility.

Benefits

  • Employer-subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance plans to support your health and wellbeing.
  • Dedicated vacation and sick leave that allows you to recharge and take care of yourself when needed.
  • Invaluable hands-on experience with cutting-edge robotics technology that keeps your skills at the industry forefront.
  • A collaborative culture where innovation thrives, and your work has a real impact.
  • The excitement of contributing to transformative technology in a fast-growing industry.
