Job Title: Sr. Electrical Supervisor
Location: Berkeley Springs, WV
Pay: $106,000 to $125,000

Description:
We are currently seeking a Sr. Electrical Supervisor to join a leading industrial company in Berkeley Springs, WV. The Sr. Electrical Supervisor will play a critical role in overseeing electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting project work. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this position will ensure that electrical systems operate efficiently and safely within the plant, contributing to optimal plant operations. You will collaborate with engineers, production staff, and electricians to maintain high standards of performance and reliability.

Must-Haves/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of practical experience in industrial electrical work
  • Supervisory experience (preferred)
  • Experience in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem-solving
  • Strong computer skills (CMMS system experience, ideally JDE)
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and plant automation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with hourly union and salaried staff
  • Experience in labor relations and maintaining cooperative relationships in a unionized environment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and configure PLCs and HMIs to ensure efficient and reliable plant operations.
  • Collaborate with corporate engineers on capital projects, ensuring electrical systems are integrated properly.
  • Utilize the CMMS (JDE) system for maintenance activities, including creating work orders, ordering parts, and scheduling maintenance.
  • Lead and participate in weekly planning meetings to assist with both short-term and long-term maintenance planning.
  • Inspect and monitor equipment to identify necessary repairs and preventive maintenance needs.
  • Work alongside operations, maintenance, and contract electricians to troubleshoot electrical issues.
  • Supervise and develop a team of 2-3 electricians, ensuring they have the resources and training they need to succeed.
  • Demonstrate a disciplined approach to scheduling and prioritizing maintenance work.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems and provide support to hourly electricians.
  • Ensure a safe working environment, adhering to all safety standards and procedures.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Proficiency with Allen Bradley PLC-5 and ControlLogix PLCs
  • Knowledge of Ethernet IP, fiber optics, and UTP networks
  • Familiarity with DeviceNet networks and PID controllers
  • Understanding of power distribution systems (120/240/480-volt, 4160v, and 34.5kV systems)
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming and plant automation systems
  • Experience with Wonderware and other HMI systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues effectively
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong focus on safety and quality
