Job Description:
Your Work Shapes the World at Caterpillar Inc.
When you join Caterpillar, you're joining a global team who cares not just about the work we do - but also about each other. We are the makers, problem solvers, and future world builders who are creating stronger, more sustainable communities. We don't just talk about progress and innovation here - we make it happen, with our customers, where we work and live. Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.
For Caterpillar, Connectivity means using technology to extract data from our machines and engines and transform it into valuable recommendations and insights to help customers make better, more informed decisions and help Caterpillar make robust products with the lowest total ownership cost. Our products generate and process large amounts of data from sensors, on-board models, and control algorithms in real-time, creating real-world machine usage information to provide condition monitoring and fleet management services.
This role will focus on the testing and validation of electronic components and connectivity hardware used in Caterpillar Connectivity Solutions, including Cellular, Satellite, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and UWB technologies. The engineer will develop and coordinate test activities to evaluate hardware performance, reliability, and compliance with product requirements.
In this position, you will plan, coordinate, and execute hardware testing in Caterpillar laboratory environments, including environmental and reliability testing. You will work closely with lab teams, component engineers, suppliers, and other technical teams to develop test plans, coordinate test execution, analyze results, investigate failures, and drive issues to resolution. You will also support the evaluation and validation of new electronic components and connectivity technologies prior to implementation in Caterpillar products.
