Description

Job Summary:

  • Manage and develop new projects after data collection, research, and analysis.
  • Conduct research to design new projects and improve current processes.
  • Collect and analyze data to support strategic decision-making in project development.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering, business, technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Five to seven years of relevant experience.
  • California Civil PE License required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil/structural engineering.
  • Seven or more years of technical experience in transmission and/or distribution line engineering design.
  • Experience with Electric Utility Distribution and Transmission Systems using California GO95, NESC, and ASCE codes and guidelines.
  • Proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform structural and line design analysis using PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and PLS-Caisson.
  • Act as the expert for modeling and analysis across transmission and distribution.
  • Ensure quality and safety compliance by following QA/QC processes and safety standards.
  • Review and design pole foundations, including new installations and existing infrastructure evaluations.
  • Support construction activities by coordinating with field teams, resolving design issues, and assisting with emergency restoration after wildfires, storms, or other incidents.
  • Maintain and update design specifications while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to less experienced engineers.
