Job Summary:

  • Manage and develop new projects after data collection, research, and analysis.
  • Research and present ideas to improve current processes.
  • Collect and analyze data to support decision-making in project development.
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering, business, or related field (or equivalent).
  • Five to seven years of relevant experience.
Top 3 Must-Have Experience:
  • PLS Tower.
  • Lattice Tower.
  • Load Calculation.
Requirements:
  • California Civil PE License required (Structural preferred).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in transmission line engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with PLS Tower (PLS-CADD) and FAD Tools.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead structural engineering tasks for lattice towers and foundations in complex transmission line projects.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in PLS Tower analysis and modeling of new and existing lattice structures.
  • Lead design and review of new or existing transmission line foundations (drilled shafts, direct embed, micro pile, and grillage) using FAD Tools, hand calculations, or similar programs.
  • Perform load calculations based on NESC, California General Order 95, and applicable codes.
  • Oversee construction administration, coordinate with field personnel, resolve design-related issues, and support emergency restorations (wildfires, storms, and other incidents).
  • Conduct field inspections and prepare engineering mitigation reports for damaged towers and foundations.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
  • Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to QA/QC processes and compliance with safety standards.
Work Location:
  • Hybrid schedule in Pomona, CA.
  • At least 2 days per week in office (Wednesday & Thursday).
