Description
We are seeking a Senior Engineering Project Manager to lead large-scale capital projects within its North American operations. This role is responsible for full lifecycle ownership of complex engineering projects, including conceptual design, execution, and deployment across one or multiple manufacturing sites.
This is a highly visible leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, capital project management experience, and deep knowledge of process safety in a chemical manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver major capital projects exceeding $30M in value
Own full project lifecycle from conceptual design, estimating, and detailed planning through execution and commissioning
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, potentially across multiple manufacturing sites
Ensure project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables align with strategic business objectives
Chair project team meetings and coordinate internal and external resources
Lead feasibility studies, vendor evaluations, proposal reviews, and contractor selection
Define Statements of Work (SOW), technical specifications, and implementation plans
Monitor and control workstreams to resolve risks, dependencies, conflicts, and critical path issues
Provide clear and consistent reporting on project milestones, risks, and performance
Lead and participate in Process Safety Management (PSM) activities including:
HAZOPs
Management of Change (MOC)
Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR)
Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA)
Risk assessments and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)

Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred)
15–20 years of hands-on experience managing capital projects in chemical manufacturing facilities
Strong understanding of project and program management methodologies
Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects at various execution stages
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
Advanced technical and data analysis capabilities
Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new chemistries and manufacturing processes
