Senior Estimator

Senior Estimator is wanted by Bengoa Construction Inc. in Hollywood, FL. 40 hrs./wk. Duties include: Review bid documents & get pricing for required materials. Setup estimating sheet. Do material takeoffs from drawings. Visit sites to meet sub-contractors & verify quantities. Assist in obtaining pricing from sub-contractors. Attend pre-bid meetings, as needed. Set up all final bid documents & make sure they are delivered on time. Any other items requested by Director of Business Development. MIN. REQ.: Bach. degree, or foreign equiv., in Civil Eng’g, Architectural Eng’g or related field. 3 yrs exp in job offered or as Construction Manager. SPECIAL SKILLS: 3 yrs exp. in each: repair & maintenance of structures; reading construction documents & drawings; identifying & isolating scope of work items from construction documents; use of estimating software such as Planswift, AutoCAD, or equiv. Travel: Up to 2% short-term, domestic travel to unanticipated construction sites to meet subcontractors & verify quantities or to pre-bid meetings as needed, all in tri-county areas of Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.
