Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced TriZetto Facets Technical Consultant to lead performance analysis and optimization of high-volume Facets batch processing and Microsoft SQL Server workloads. The role will focus on reducing batch processing windows, resolving application and database bottlenecks, improving workload efficiency, and strengthening production stability, monitoring, and recovery.
Key Responsibilities
"Analyze and optimize Facets batch jobs, SQL queries, scripts, and stored procedures.
"Perform batch runtime, dependency, critical-path, workload, and throughput analysis to identify optimization opportunities.
"Diagnose SQL Server performance issues, including locking, blocking, deadlocks, wait statistics, indexing, CPU, memory, and I/O bottlenecks.
"Recommend improvements to batch sequencing, parallel processing, workload distribution, SQL performance, and batch-window reduction.
"Perform root-cause analysis of recurring batch failures and recommend restart/recovery procedures, operational runbooks, monitoring, and automation improvements.
"Analyze performance across Claims, Payments, XC, and Pre/Post-Adjudication processing.
"Establish performance baselines and validate optimization recommendations through performance and regression testing.
"Support capacity planning, workload forecasting, performance monitoring, and environment comparisons.
"Document findings, risks, recommendations, and a prioritized performance improvement roadmap.
Required Qualifications
"10+ years of experience in enterprise application development, production support, database engineering, or performance optimization, with strong hands-on TriZetto Facets experience.
"Must have strong hands-on knowledge of BINB, 837I, CLMU, CKMM, 835, and BOTB batch streams, including execution flows, dependencies, failure analysis, restart/recovery, and performance optimization.
"Deep understanding of Facets batch architecture, job streams, dependencies, sequencing, scheduling, and restart/recovery processes.
"Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, and SQL performance tuning.
"Experience with execution plans, Query Store, DMVs, indexing, wait statistics, locking/blocking, and deadlock analysis.
"Proven experience troubleshooting and optimizing high-volume, performance-sensitive production batch workloads.
"Good understanding of healthcare payer processing, particularly Claims, Providers, Payments, and adjudication processes.
"Strong root-cause analysis, problem-solving, technical documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
"Ability to collaborate across application, database, infrastructure, testing, and production support teams.
Preferred Qualifications
"Experience with NetworX, PBA, Facets Workflow, XC/extract processing, or related Facets components.
"Experience with enterprise batch schedulers, monitoring, and observability tools.
"Experience with performance testing, capacity analysis, workload forecasting, and operational automation.
"Experience supporting and optimizing large-scale healthcare payer production environments.
