The Fixed Asset Controllership Team is an organization within the NA FCAP (Fixed, Capital, Analytics, & Planning) organization with ownership of Capital Expenditures (Capex) and Central Operational Expenditures (Opex). Our goals align with the WW Amazon Stores Governance & Controllership pillar and work in close partnership with the Accounting, Tax, RME, Procurement, Operations and IPAT to drive improvements in internal controls, related to our fixed assets while also being mindful of business realities. This role requires strong process understanding, system knowledge and strong understanding of data governance and quality concepts.

Key job responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the fixed asset controllership team. This team is responsible for driving improvements in our processes and internal controls related to capex. We are seeking individuals with excellent finance and/or accounting skills, sound business judgment, who can influence and communicate across the organization.

This role will be a key team member on the controllership team. They will leverage their deep knowledge of processes and controls related to capex activity and importance of data quality when implementing tech solutions and automating processes.

Controllership

  • You influence and drive improvements in upstream processes & functions with minimal guidance
  • You work cross-functionally to implement controls and embed solutions across teams
  • You identify and resolve the resolution of complex data integrity issues and controllership risks
  • You recommend practices and processes to ensure financial data integrity and compliance with internal and external policies

Business Finance Support

  • You think big to influence strategic decision-making and planning for complex business areas by using data to provide advice and sometimes disruptive ideas
  • You use finance and business acumen to set direction that meets business needs
  • You have backbone and disagree and commit to effectively challenge and influence business partners

Communication

  • You foster constructive dialogues, harmonize conflicting views, lead the resolution of issues, and earn trust
  • You communicate with right level of detail, verbally and in writing that enables informed decision-making
  • You build productive relationships across organizations
