Our client is seeking an experienced, highly analytical finance professional who combines strong Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) expertise with advanced financial modeling, automation, and business intelligence capabilities.

This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who can go beyond traditional reporting to build sophisticated financial models, automate processes, analyze complex financial data, and translate findings into actionable business strategies.

The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of financial operations, proven experience supporting a large and complex business environment, and the technical expertise to independently develop, optimize, and troubleshoot financial models.

Advanced Power Query expertise is the highest technical priority for this position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop, build, and maintain sophisticated financial models to support financial planning, analysis, and strategic business decisions.
Leverage advanced Power Query capabilities to automate financial processes, transform data, and improve reporting efficiency.
Independently build, analyze, optimize, and troubleshoot financial models rather than simply maintaining existing reporting processes.
Analyze Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, financial performance, and business results to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights that support strategic business decisions.
Apply strong FP&A knowledge to evaluate financial performance and support business planning activities.
Utilize SQL and financial data platforms to extract, transform, and analyze large and complex datasets.
Support financial analysis across broad business operations with multiple financial and operational considerations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience preferred
Business Intelligence competency (Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling techniques.
Power Query (Excel) is required.
Alteryx, Power Bi, Sigma, Snowflake, SQL a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Working knowledge of US GAAP
Hyperion Financial Management and/or Oracle experience a plus
CMA, MBA, CPA a plus
