Senior Financial Analyst

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst. This position can be fully remote, however, candidates must be available to work East Coast business hours. Summary: The Senior Financial Analyst will support a growing government-focused practice, and will play a key part in overseeing project controls, financial management, forecasting, government contract compliance, and project accounting while partnering closely with business leadership. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and continuously improve project finance and project control activities
• Partner with business leaders as a strategic and trusted financial advisor
• Prepare and maintain EAC (Estimate at Completion) and ETC (Estimate to Complete) documentation
• Research and provide solutions for program financial issues
• Develop annual budgets and monthly, annual, and multi-year financial forecasts
• Monitor project financial performance, profitability, funding, and accounts receivable
• Analyze pricing decisions and their impact on project and account profitability
• Support compliance with government contracting requirements, including FAR, DFARS, and CAS
• Review contract awards and modifications to monitor contract value, funding, and AR
• Support government and external audits related to accounting and finance policies and procedures
• Coordinate across engagement teams, PMOs, accounting, contracts, subcontracts, and project setup
• Provide guidance around indirect rates and their impact on project financial performance
• Advise on complex project setup and workforce management
• Help train, mentor, and develop project finance staff
• Develop and improve financial reporting, tools, processes, and procedures
• Support special projects and ad hoc financial reporting as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of relevant government contractor finance experience in a CAS-compliant environment
• 3+ years of project controls experience
• 2+ years of supervisory or mentoring experience
• Strong knowledge of FAR, CAS, and FAR Part 31
• Advanced knowledge of government project accounting and various contract types, including CPFF, T&M, and FFP
• Strong understanding of indirect rate structures
• Extensive experience with Deltek Costpoint
• Experience with project setup and revenue recognition under ASC 606
• Experience supporting government audits of accounting and finance policies and procedures
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience building and maintaining financial models
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to work with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
