Senior Financial Analyst

Position Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting financial planning, analysis, and decision-making within a remanufacturing environment. This role partners closely with operations, supply chain, engineering, and leadership to drive profitability, improve cost visibility, and optimize margins across remanufactured products. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, deep cost accounting knowledge, and hands-on experience in manufacturing or remanufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial analysis related to remanufacturing operations, including product costing, margin analysis, and profitability by SKU, program, and customer
• Develop and maintain standard and actual cost models, including labor, material recovery, overhead absorption, scrap, and yield variances
• Analyze bill of materials (BOMs), routings, and recovery rates to ensure accurate cost structures for remanufactured and reused components
• Partner with operations and engineering to evaluate process improvements, yield optimization, and cost-reduction initiatives
• Support monthly close activities including variance analysis, inventory valuation, reserves, and reporting explanations
• Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and KPI analysis for senior leadership
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning with a focus on remanufacturing volumes, recovery assumptions, and cost drivers
• Evaluate capital investments, tooling, and process automation through ROI and payback analysis
• Ensure data integrity within ERP systems and continuously improve financial reporting and analytical processes
• Provide financial support for pricing strategies, customer programs, and contract profitability

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive financial analysis experience within manufacturing or remanufacturing environments
• Strong background in cost accounting, inventory management, and variance analysis
• Experience with remanufactured, reused, or recycled products highly preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (complex formulas, pivots, modeling); ERP system experience required
• Proven ability to translate complex financial data into clear business insights
• Strong communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems such as SyteLine, SAP, Oracle, or similar manufacturing platforms
• Exposure to standard costing, absorption costing, and inventory valuation in high-mix environments
• CPA, CMA, or MBA a plus
