Senior Financial Analyst

LHH is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst for an exciting opportunity in Oak Brook, IL. This individual will play a key role in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business performance reporting.

The ideal candidate will have strong FP&A experience within a manufacturing, consumer products, distribution, or related corporate environment and be comfortable partnering with operational and finance leaders to provide actionable financial insights.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning activities

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial results, KPIs, operating metrics, and business performance

• Perform detailed budget-to-actual and forecast variance analysis and communicate key drivers

• Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, profitability analysis, and strategic initiatives

• Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, and operational performance across business units

• Provide financial insights and recommendations to finance and operational leadership

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting packages

• Partner cross-functionally with accounting, operations, supply chain, and other business teams

• Identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities that could impact business performance

• Support month-end reporting and ensure financial results are accurately reflected

• Improve financial reporting, forecasting processes, and analytical tools

• Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects for leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

• 4+ years of Financial Analyst, Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A, or related finance experience

• Experience within manufacturing, consumer products, distribution, or a similar corporate environment highly preferred

• Strong budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling experience

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, complex formulas, and financial modeling

• Strong understanding of financial statements and key business performance metrics

• Experience working with ERP, financial reporting, and planning systems

• Ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into actionable business insights

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to communicate financial information effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
