ABOUT THE ROLEA growing technology and infrastructure organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee fixed assets, cost accounting, inventory valuation, and capital project accounting. This role will support accurate financial reporting, strengthen controls, and improve accounting processes across complex, asset-intensive operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage the fixed asset lifecycle, including additions, depreciation, transfers, disposals, and reconciliations.
- Maintain construction-in-progress (CIP) accounts and ensure accurate capitalization of project costs.
- Oversee cost accounting, inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis.
- Prepare project-related journal entries, accruals, cost allocations, and capital expenditure analyses.
- Partner with Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and FP&A to improve cost tracking and financial reporting.
- Support month-end and quarter-end close, reconciliations, asset rollforwards, and audit requests.
- Improve accounting workflows, systems integration, data quality, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with Tax on depreciation methods, asset classification, and compliance reporting.
