Senior Frontend Engineer

Own the frontend at Abstract. You'll architect and build the platform's user experience, integrate with AI-powered APIs, and evolve the design system - with direct autonomy and a close working relationship with the CTO.

What you'll do

• Architect and build new frontend features on the Abstract platform
• Integrate with Python-based chat and data APIs
• Own design system evolution and maintenance
• Optimize performance and component structure
• Define best practices for AI-assisted UX implementation

What we're looking for

• 7+ years professional software engineering experience
• Deep expertise with React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS
• Strong API integration and data flow handling skills
• Comfort building around AI systems and streaming responses
• Proactive communication and collaborative mindset

Nice to have

• SaaS scaling experience with revenue
• AI-driven product development background
• Legal tech or govtech experience
• Early-stage startup engineering experience

Compensation

$175,000-$220,000 · Equity · 401(k) with 3.5% match
