We are seeking a dynamic and experienced project-level Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing practice. This position is hybrid and can be local to one of our offices in San Diego, Temecula, or Palm Desert. The role offers a unique opportunity to manage projects or be assigned to major projects to perform geotechnical related tasks under the supervision of Senior Project Manager.What You'll Do:Manage geotechnical investigations for major development/construction projectsSupervise and mentor staff engineers and techniciansFamiliar with Caltrans Standard SpecificationsTrain staff in basic engineering procedures and techniquesPrepare and present proposals, scopes of work and budgets for new projectsPrepare and/or review technical reportsInterpret laboratory test data for use in engineering analysesSupervise engineering analyses for foundation design, slope stability and seismic hazardsReview grading and foundation plans for conformance with recommendationsDevelop and maintain an active client baseWhat You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or engineering geology7+ years of experience in managing geotechnical aspects of land development and construction projectsCalifornia Registered Civil Engineer (RCE/PE)Geotechnical Engineer (GE) is preferredStrong organization and written/oral communication skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and industry peersSalary Range:At Verdantas, we offer comprehensive benefits packages for our employees.
