Meet the company:

Our long-time client within the real estate industry is seeking a compliance-driven Senior Human Resources Generalist to join their team. This is a great opportunity to join a fun, well-established group located in San Francisco. This is a hybrid role (4x/week in office)with free parking!

About the role and your impact:

HR Policies and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and company policies including on matters related to worker's compensation, wage and hour, and quarterly reporting
  • Stay up-to-date on labor laws, compliance requirements, and industry trends
  • Ensure HR practices align with legal standards and make research- and data-driven recommendations for HR improvements
  • Maintain HR data and generate reports for analysis
Employee Relations and Engagement
  • Provide guidance and resolution regarding employee relations issues using a direct, friendly approach
  • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding
  • Ensure employees' completion of required trainings
  • Support the performance appraisal process
  • Assist with recruiting efforts as needed
Payroll Support
  • Collaborate with payroll administrator and provide backup as needed
  • Ensure employee information is accurately recorded in ADP
  • Understand commission structure and calculation
  • Additional duties as assigned
What you'll bring:
  • 4+ years of human resources experience
  • HR certification (SHRM/PHR) strongly preferred (in-process okay)
  • Multi-State HR experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of HR compliance
  • Prior payroll experience or understanding of payroll processes
  • Proficiency with MS Office (including Excel)
