Senior Insurance Coverage Attorney

A well-established law firm is seeking a Senior Insurance Coverage Attorney to join its growing Insurance Coverage practice in Miami. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with significant experience handling complex insurance coverage matters, particularly involving third-party liability coverage, who is looking to take on a leadership role while working closely with clients and partners on sophisticated legal issues.

Responsibilities:

• Handle complex insurance coverage matters from initial analysis through resolution.
• Analyze and advise on third-party liability coverage issues.
• Prepare detailed coverage opinions, legal memoranda, and client recommendations.
• Represent insurance carriers in coverage litigation, including motion practice, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, appellate briefs, and other legal documents.
• Collaborate with partners on complex litigation strategy and client counseling.
• Mentor junior attorneys and assist with case management as needed.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active Florida Bar admission.
• 6+ years of insurance coverage experience, with a strong emphasis on third-party liability coverage.
• Extensive litigation experience representing insurance carriers.
• Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong case management abilities with experience handling matters independently.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Experience mentoring junior attorneys is a plus.
