Senior Interior Designer – Luxury Residential

We’re an established, design-led interior design studio specializing in high-end residential work, and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our team. This is a senior role for someone who can take a project from first conversation to final install, guide clients with confidence, and keep a team, a budget and a schedule moving in the same direction.

What You’ll Do

• 
  
• Own residential projects from initial concept through installation and final walkthrough
• 
  
• Develop design concepts, presentation boards and client presentations that translate each client’s lifestyle into a cohesive scheme
• 
  
• Select and specify the full range of interior finishes and furnishings, including furniture, millwork and cabinetry, lighting, plumbing fixtures, hardware, textiles, wallcoverings, flooring, window treatments and accessories
• 
  
• Design custom furniture pieces and manage the fabrication process with workrooms and artisans
• 
  
• Handle construction administration: site visits, drawing and submittal review, contractor coordination, and solving issues as they come up in the field
• 
  
• Prepare proposals, purchase orders and invoices; track procurement and deliveries
• 
  
• Manage project budgets and timelines across several active projects at once
• 
  
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, vendors and consultants
• 
  
• Mentor and coordinate with junior designers and support staff
• 
  

What We’re Looking For

• 
  
• 10+ years of residential interior design experience, ideally in the luxury market
• 
  
• A portfolio showing complex, high-end projects you’ve led start to finish
• 
  
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, with strong drafting and technical drawing skills
• 
  
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
• 
  
• Solid understanding of procurement, vendor management and installation logistics
• 
  
• Experience with construction administration and reading construction documents
• 
  
• A strong point of view on design, paired with the judgment to advise clients and stand behind your recommendations
• 
  
• Excellent organization and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle competing deadlines
• 
  
• Clear, confident communication, both written and in front of clients
• 
  
• Self-directed, but genuinely collaborative
•
