This role converts complex data and audit evidence into clear conclusions and recommendations that help leaders identify control gaps, resolve root causes, and sustain efficient, repeatable audit monitoring practices.

Key Outcomes:

Risk-Based Audit Execution

·         Leads or supports audit work that produces well-supported conclusions on control design, operating effectiveness, and risk exposure across technology, financial, operational, and compliance areas.

·         Develops risk-based audit scopes, testing plans, and procedures that align effort to the most significant business and control risks.

·         Builds consistent tools, models, and testing routines that improve Internal Audit’s ability to identify outliers, anomalies, trends, and emerging risks across large data sets.

IT Audit Support

·         Evaluates the design and operating effectiveness of IT general controls, delivering evidence-based conclusions on gaps and risk exposure.

·         Partners with information technology and security stakeholders to translate audit findings into practical, risk-prioritized recommendations that strengthen protection of systems and sensitive information.

·         Tracks remediation actions and validates supporting evidence to confirm that completed actions address identified risks, escalating unresolved gaps to Internal Audit leadership.

SOX and Control Assurance

·         Completes SOX control documentation review and testing with accurate evidence, timely workpapers, clear issue identification, and practical remediation recommendations.

·         Evaluates control design and operating effectiveness consistently and escalates deficiencies promptly with clear supporting evidence.

·         Partners with control owners to clarify expectations, resolve documentation gaps, and support timely remediation and retesting.

Actionable Control Improvement

·         Partners with business and functional leaders to translate audit findings into understandable, implementable actions that improve procedures, strengthen controls, and mitigate risk.

·         Identifies root causes and recommends practical, risk-aligned solutions that address control gaps without creating unnecessary complexity.

·         Monitors agreed management actions and validates that completed remediation addresses the underlying risk.

Efficient Audit Delivery

·         Delivers assigned audits, investigations, and special projects within agreed timelines while maintaining high-quality documentation and stakeholder communication.

·         Plans and prioritizes work effectively, identifies potential delays early, and adjusts execution to meet commitments.

·         Applies standardized methods, templates, and lessons learned to improve audit quality, consistency, and efficiency.

External Audit Support

·         Supports parent company and other external audit requests by providing accurate, organized information and responsive follow-through that reinforces audit readiness.

·         Coordinates supporting documentation and responses with internal stakeholders to ensure requests are complete, accurate, and delivered on time.

·         Anticipates recurring external audit needs and helps maintain organized evidence that reduces disruption and duplicate effort.

Competencies:

Process Excellence:

Identifies opportunities to simplify, automate, and strengthen audit processes while creating repeatable methods that support continuous monitoring and sustainable control improvement.

Decision Making and Problem Solving:

Uses facts, logic, data analysis, and professional judgment to assess control effectiveness, solve complex data problems, and recommend practical risk mitigation actions.

Action Oriented and Drives for Results:

Prioritizes effectively, follows through on audit commitments, and consistently delivers high-quality workpapers, findings, and recommendations within project expectations.

Courageous and Principled:

Maintains objectivity, respectfully challenges gaps or unethical practices, and holds self and stakeholders accountable to control standards and company values.

Functional and Technical Learning:

Maintains current audit, systems, controls, and analytics knowledge and applies tools and methodologies to improve audit quality and efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to travel, including international travel, approximately 1-3 weeks per year.
Key Performance Indicators:
