Job Description

The Senior Investment Manager is responsible for defining and owning the Financial Advisors and/or Advisor Teams overall investment management philosophy through the development of portfolio strategy and leading a sound investment management process. Would act as team CIO leading the investment committee for large teams and working in close partnership with internal specialists to deliver holistic investment solutions by identifying and establishing targeted investment strategies. Strong ability to connect with clients and communicate CIO research in a concise and compelling manner. Ensure risk profiles, goals, objectives and asset allocations are aligned and reflected properly for each client. Senior-level expertise in a wide range of investment product areas and ability to deliver full range of products and services across the enterprise ensuring alignment to client goals and strategies. Oversee preparation and present client performance review reports to measure progress to goals. Serves as subject matter expert for all investment-related questions that come in from clients.

This position may be responsible for the provision of residential mortgage loans and as such is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Pursuant to the SAFE Act requirements all employees engaged in residential mortgage loan originations must register with the federal registry system and remain in good standing. Since this position requires SAFE Act registration employees are required to register and to submit to the required SAFE Act background check. Failure to obtain and/or maintain SAFE Act registration may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ability to make sound decisions through a deep understanding of investment management best practices and policies/procedures with a strong risk mindset.
  • Attend client review meeting to assist in re-discovery conversations, capture notes in Salesforce and track all actions/activities to ensure highest level of client service.
  • Ensure risk profiles, goals, objectives and asset allocations are aligned and reflected properly for each client.
  • Ability to identify client needs and concerns and articulate appropriate approach to align solutions to goals in a suitable and controlled way.

Required Qualifications

  • Series 7, 63, 65 or 66 or equivalent; must obtain all state registrations held by the Financial Advisors and Advisor Teams they support.
  • SAFE Act Registration (ADV-2B) Required.
  • CFP® or CPWA® designation and/or obtain/maintain at least one firm approved designation.
  • Possess and demonstrate strong communication skills.
  • Superior relationship management skills to partner effectively across the entire Wealth Management space.
  • Strong analytical and portfolio management skills with the ability to identify trends and implement investment strategies to increase growth and mitigate risk.
  • Ability to make sound decisions through a deep understanding of investment management best practices and policies/procedures with a strong risk mindset.
  • Ability to identify client needs and concerns and articulate appropriate approach to align solutions to goals in a suitable and controlled way.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience performing specialist level responsibilities or equivalent industry experience.

Illinois pay and benefits information Illinois pay range: $52,000.00 - $96,000.00 annualized salary offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Formulaic incentive eligible This role is eligible to participate in a formulaic incentive plan. Employees are eligible for incentives as detailed by the specific line of business incentive plan provisions. Formulaic plans may be comprised of monthly, quarterly and/or annual incentive opportunities. Incentives are earned based on the employees performance against defined metrics.
