- Support enterprise application development, systems integration, and digital transformation initiatives within Digital Disposal Operations.
- This role serves as a key liaison between Business and Technology teams, translating business needs into technology solutions and supporting the successful delivery of enterprise applications and operational systems.
- This individual will work across multiple applications and initiatives, partnering with business stakeholders, developers, architects, QA teams, operations teams, and vendors to deliver technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and business outcomes.
- The role also provides leadership for assigned initiatives and workstreams, helping coordinate delivery activities, manage risks and dependencies, and support organizational readiness.
- Business Analysis and Requirements Leadership
- Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, and traceability across assigned initiatives.
- Translate business needs into functional requirements, business rules, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, data requirements, and technical specifications.
- Analyze current-state and future-state business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, user experience, operational performance, and data quality.
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and discovery sessions to gather and validate requirements.
- Partner with business stakeholders to define priorities, solution objectives, and measurable outcomes.
- Ensure requirements are complete, testable, traceable, and aligned with business goals.
- Support solution design reviews and assist in evaluating alternative approaches and recommendations.
- IT Solution Delivery and Project Leadership
- Provide leadership for assigned digital initiatives and application workstreams.
- Develop and maintain delivery plans, schedules, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and action items.
- Coordinate activities across Business, Technology, Engineering, QA, field operations, vendors, and third-party partners.
- Facilitate Agile delivery activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and requirements prioritization.
- Monitor project health and proactively identify and escalate risks, blockers, and dependencies.
- Support release planning, deployment readiness, business acceptance testing, and operational transition activities.
- Technical Analysis and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a liaison among Business, Technology, Engineering, QA, field operations, and vendor teams.
- Support new application development, system enhancements, integrations, and modernization initiatives.
- Analyze integration points, APIs, data flows, interfaces, and system dependencies.
- Identify functional gaps, process inefficiencies, integration impacts, and technical risks early in the lifecycle.
- Conduct business process assessments, needs analyses, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit evaluations to support decision making.
- Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and QA teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Testing, Validation, and Quality Support:
- Support test strategy development, test planning, and business validation activities.
- Review test cases and test scenarios to ensure business requirements are adequately covered.
- Assist in defect triage, root cause discussions, and resolution validation.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and stakeholder signoff activities.
- Validate delivered functionality against documented requirements and business objectives.
- Documentation and Change Enablement:
- Maintain clear, structured, and traceable business and technical documentation
- Develop process flows, workflow diagrams, system documentation, decision logs, user guides, and training materials.
- Communicate project status, risks, issues, recommendations, and decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support organizational readiness, training, process adoption, and change management activities.
- Promote standard methodologies for requirements management, documentation, and project execution.
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis expertise with a solid understanding of software delivery processes, system integrations, data flows, and project execution.
- 7+ years of IT Business Analysis experience supporting enterprise application development, systems integration, software delivery, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Candidates with 5+ years of experience and demonstrated leadership of complex cross-functional initiatives will also be considered.
- Proven experience leading requirements discovery, analysis, documentation, validation, and traceability activities.
- Experience supporting complex software development or systems integration initiatives throughout the full software development lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of business process analysis, requirements management, and solution delivery methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with business stakeholders, software developers, architects, QA teams, and vendor partners.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and facilitation skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple applications, priorities, stakeholders, and projects simultaneously.
- Experience working within Agile and hybrid project delivery environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong understanding of enterprise application development and software delivery lifecycles.
- Experience with business process modeling, workflow analysis, and requirements management.
- Experience developing and managing user stories, use cases, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and traceability artifacts.
- Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and Agile delivery tools.
- Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, or similar application lifecycle management platforms.
- Strong understanding of systems integration concepts, APIs, interfaces, data flows, and system dependencies.
- Ability to analyze data and perform basic data validation using reporting tools, spreadsheets, or SQL.
- Experience collaborating with developers, architects, QA teams, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and facilitation skills.
- Preferred Technical and Industry Knowledge
- Understanding of cloud-based application architectures and integration patterns.
- Experience supporting GIS platforms and mapping technologies.
- Experience supporting operational technology systems.
- Experience supporting drone platforms and mobile applications.
- Experience supporting disposal, environmental field operations, or other enterprise business systems.
- Experience serving as a project lead or project manager for complex cross-functional technology initiatives.
- Ability to develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and action items.
- Experience coordinating Business, Technology, Engineering, QA, Operations, and external vendor teams.
- Experience presenting status, risks, recommendations, and decisions to senior leadership.
- Ability to drive alignment and accountability across diverse stakeholder groups.
