Job Title: Senior IT VMware Systems Engineer

Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)

Rate: $75-$80/hr

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior VMware Systems Engineer with strong hands-on experience managing large-scale virtualization environments, preferably within the banking or financial services domain.

• 5-7+ years of experience in VMware virtualization, including vSphere 8, ESXi, vCenter, VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 9), NSX-T, and vSAN.

• Experience with large-scale infrastructure, real-time capacity monitoring, performance Eligible to workimization, server refresh, and hardware lifecycle management.

• Strong automation skills using PowerCLI, PowerShell/Python, Ansible, and Terraform for provisioning, patching, and lifecycle management.

• Hands-on experience with Aria Operations, vRealize Log Insight (VRLI), vRealize Network Insight (VRNI), and infrastructure monitoring tools.

• Knowledge of enterprise storage (SAN, iSCSI, Dell, NetApp, Pure Storage), networking, VLANs, routing, and micro-segmentation.

• Experience with production change management, incident management, disaster recovery, security hardening, and banking regulatory requirements.

• Ability to provide Tier 2/3 production support, troubleshoot complex issues, manage capacity requests, and coordinate with global infrastructure teams.
