Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices and a proven ability to design, build, containerize, and modernize backend services with autonomy.

Responsibilities:

• Design application code and implement technical solutions across environments to address business needs.
• Develop applications to solve analytical and transactional problems.
• Execute all phases of software engineering including requirements analysis, design, development, and testing.
• Design and implement product features, reusable components, frameworks, and libraries with business and IT stakeholders.
• Partner with strategic customers to containerize applications using modern containerization methodologies.
• Develop best practices for containerizing and modernizing diverse application platforms.
• Code, test, release, and support backend services and data integrations.
• Design software solutions to address complex engineering challenges.
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes for robust delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical degree or equivalent related work experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring, and Spring Boot for backend microservices.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with AWS services for building and operating cloud-native applications.
• Knowledge of Backbase APIs and API management concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with autonomy as a senior developer.
• Experience level: 5+ years in backend engineering or similar roles.

Preferred Skills:

• Background in banking, payments, or money movement domains.
• Experience with Agile or Scrum delivery practices.
