Payrate: $75.00 - $78.00/hr.
 
Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable enterprise applications and microservices. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on engineer with strong expertise in Java-based backend development, cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and modern software engineering practices. This role requires close collaboration with product managers, architects, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions that are secure, reliable, and performant.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring technologies.
  • Build scalable, secure, and resilient microservices and RESTful APIs. Participate in solution architecture, technical design reviews, and system optimization initiatives.
  • Develop integrations with internal and external systems using modern API and messaging technologies.
  • Implement event-driven solutions and asynchronous processing patterns.
  • Ensure application performance, scalability, availability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root cause analysis.
  • Contribute to CI/CD automation and cloud adoption initiatives.
  • Perform code reviews and promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and design principles.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers and provide technical leadership within the team. Support Agile development practices and participate in sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Java.
  • Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Microservices Architecture.
  • Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of databases, data modeling, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar platforms. Strong knowledge of software design patterns, object-oriented programming, and SOLID principles.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control systems, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architecture and domain-driven design principles.
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Experience with monitoring, observability, and production support.
  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity.
  • Previous experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring engineering teams.

Pay Transparency:  The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $75.00 - $78.00/hour. As a non-exempt position, this role will be eligible for overtime, at 1.5 times the base rate, or as required by state or local law.  Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.  Full-time employees are eligible for benefits including medical, dental, and vision benefits, health savings account option for qualified medical plan enrollments, accrual of up to 10 paid days off, 3 days paid bereavement leave, 401(k) plan participation with employer match, life and disability insurance, commuter benefits, dependent care flexible spending account, accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, travel reimbursement, accommodations for work travel, and discretionary performance or recognition bonus.
