    A leading insurance organization is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to support the modernization of its technology platform and software development practices.     This high-impact engineering role focuses on developing and modernizing enterprise platforms using Java, C#, and microservices. The team seeks developers who actively integrate AI into their development workflows and can make an immediate impact.
    The ideal candidate brings strong software engineering skills, experience with modern architectures, and familiarity with the insurance industry, particularly personal auto insurance.

    Required Skills & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience
    • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
    • Hands-on experience building applications with C#, .NET, and React
    • Proficiency with Git, version control, and collaborative development practices
    • Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and common software design patterns
    • Experience working in Agile development environments
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated build, testing, and deployment processes
    • Advanced proficiency in C#, .NET, React, and modern development practices
    • Proven ability to deliver production-ready software across the full development lifecycle
    • Professional experience with AI-assisted development tools and workflows
    • Ability to manage and validate AI-generated code while maintaining technical accountability
    • Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, object-oriented principles, and secure coding
    • Experience developing automated testing strategies
    • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
    • Sound technical judgment and ability to evaluate engineering trade-offs
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently within cross-functional teams
    Desired Skills & Experience
    • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
    • Familiarity with containers and modern CI/CD tools
    • Experience with relational databases, SQL optimization, and performance tuning
    • Knowledge of distributed systems, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures
    • Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or GitHub Copilot
    • Experience modernizing legacy systems, refactoring, or migrating applications
