Our client, an IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a Senior Java FSD Developer for their New York, NY location.

- About the Role:
- We’re seeking a hands-on Lead Java FSD who can build, and scale API-first platforms and integration with AI assisted and/or AI First approach.
- Required qualifications, capabilities, & skills:
- 12+ years professional software engineering experience; 3+ years architecting cloud-native services on AWS.
- Expert in Java 11+/17, Spring Boot, REST, JSON, Open API, and asynchronous messaging (SNS/SQS/Kafka).
- Strong with integration patterns (sync/async), API versioning, backwards compatibility, schema evolution, and contract testing (Pact/Wire Mock).
- Proficient with SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL/Aurora) and at least one NoSQL (DynamoDB/Document DB); caching with Redis.
- Proficient in CI/CD, IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation), Docker, and container orchestration (ECS/EKS).
- Solid observability (logs, metrics, traces) and performance tuning (JVM, DB, API latency, throughput).
- Security-first mindset: IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, WAF, CORS, CSP, input validation.
- Front-end capability with React + TypeScript (or Angular), including state management (Redux/RTK/React Query), routing, and component design.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.
- Preferred qualifications, capabilities, & skills:
- Experience with micro frontends, CEN/XFS API’s, Terraform
- Exposure to Java, Spring Boot, RESTful, Dynamo
- Experience with Datadog, CloudWatch, Open Telemetry
- Knowledge of AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, Gitub etc.) and prompt engineering for LLM’s
