The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, web application design, data analysis, and CI/CD and a proven ability to design, build, and maintain complex, scalable applications that meet evolving business requirements.Responsibilities:Design, develop, test, debug, and document complex Java-based applications for Financial Crimes capabilities.Partner with business stakeholders to refine user stories, define requirements, and estimate delivery work.Lead proofs of concept to mitigate risk and evaluate new ideas or approaches.Set up and automate CI/CD pipelines and support build and release management.Collaborate with Production Support, Platform, and interfacing application teams on change management, maintenance, and upgrades.Provide data sourcing, analysis, and modeling guidance for large-scale data initiatives, ensuring governance and best practices.Analyze present-state and propose future-state solutions, then facilitate implementation with measurable outcomes.Prepare unit test plans, execute tests, conduct code reviews, and ensure quality through TDD practices.Coordinate with offshore teams for development, release documentation, and deployment activities.Adhere to Agile practices and ensure compliance with Enterprise Change Standards.Required Skills & Qualifications:7+ years in Java, J2EE, Spring framework, Hibernate, MVC, Tomcat or WebLogic, UNIX shell scripting, and Oracle 11g.Experience with AngularJS or similar UI frameworks and building Single Page Applications.Proficiency in web services, Maven, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Autosys or another scheduler.Strong SQL skills, stored procedures, data virtualization concepts, and performance tuning.Experience with Test Driven Development and JUnit.Demonstrated ability to design solutions for web applications with large user bases and complex data.Background in SDLC, Agile, CI/CD, and change management processes.Effective communication, listening, and stakeholder engagement skills, including remote collaboration.Education: BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline.Preferred Skills:Experience promoting standards and best practices across projects and programs.Experience partnering with business teams to define success measures and sustain change.Why BCforward?At BCforward, we believe in advancing lives and careers.
