Senior Land Development Project Manager


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Land Development Project Manager to join our Buffalo office. This role is ideal for a seasoned civil engineering professional with strong land development expertise, project management experience, and the ability to support client relationships and business growth. The successful candidate will lead land development projects from concept through completion, oversee design teams, manage client relationships, and contribute to business development initiatives.


Qualifications


  • 6+ years of experience in land development, civil engineering, or related consulting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred
  • EIT or PE license preferred, but not required
  • Proficiency with Civil 3D and AutoCAD required
  • Strong background in:
  • Land development design
  • Stormwater management
  • Site planning and permitting
  • Civil engineering design standards
  • Experience with project management, client coordination, and business development preferred


Responsibilities


  • Manage and deliver land development projects while maintaining schedules, budgets, and quality standards
  • Lead design efforts for residential, commercial, and municipal development projects
  • Prepare and review civil design plans, grading plans, utility layouts, and stormwater management systems
  • Coordinate with clients, municipalities, contractors, and internal project teams
  • Mentor junior engineering staff and provide technical guidance
  • Assist with proposal development, client outreach, and business development efforts
  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and support company growth
