Senior / Lead Platform Engineer (Remote - U.S. Based)

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and manage robust cloud platforms, applications, integrations, and infrastructure.
• Build scalable, secure, and resilient platform solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Design and deploy automation strategies to streamline operations and enhance user experience.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure health, monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
• Develop and maintain advanced CI/CD pipelines and enforce DevOps best practices.
• Implement and uphold security controls, IAM standards, and access management.
• Produce technical documentation and operational procedures; create training materials.
• Lead modernization, migration, acquisition, and platform integration initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to capture requirements and design technical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Experience

• 7+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or DevOps.
• Advanced expertise with AWS and HPE GreenLake.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies, infrastructure automation, and DevOps.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Strong hands-on skills in IAM and access management technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Harness, AWS CodePipeline).
• Advanced scripting/automation using Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication abilities.
• Deep understanding of networking, hosting, and application infrastructure.

Preferred Skills

• Expertise with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Advanced AWS IAM policy and permission model design.
• Experience implementing federated AWS access and identity providers.
• Familiarity with AWS security auditing, access reviews, and monitoring platforms.
• Cloud platform certifications (AWS preferred).
• Prior leadership or mentorship experience.
