Senior Level Technician

The position requires component level repair of industrial controls.

Job Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a small electronic team. Including assigning work, providing technical support when necessary and assisting with future growth of individuals. Motivate, support and challenge technicians.

You will also repair industrial components including PCB's and other misc. electronic components such as standalone assemblies.

Troubleshoot and identify root causes of electronic failures.

Troubleshoot electronics to board level components.

Solder through hole and surface mount components.

Willing to train entry level technicians within your team as well as others outside of your team.

Able to use basic hand tools.

May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate.

Additional Skills, not required immediately, but would be required to learn:

Programming experience with C++ a plus.

Experience with Profibus and CAN bus a plus.

Experience with Allen Bradey and Siemens ladder logic.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience repairing electronics.

Must have prior experience repairing Industrial Electronic Equipment.

Complete understanding of a DDM, oscilloscope, function generator, variable power supplies and other lab test equipment.

Effective communication and interaction skills needed.

Excellent organizational skills required.

Effectively lead and mentor technicians.

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to stand and walk.

Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, and squat. Ability to lift up to 45 pounds (light hand tools, etc.) Manual dexterity, repetitive motion tasks.
