Job Summary
We're looking for a skilled maintenance professional, not just a handyman!
MCP Property Management is seeking an experienced, dependable, and highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. MCP manage residential apartments, condominiums, and commercial properties throughout Western Massachusetts. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can troubleshoot problems independently, and knows how to get the job done right the first time.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and complete plumbing, electrical, and general building repairs.
- Perform carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and finish work.
- Troubleshoot heating systems, appliances, and mechanical equipment.
- Handle apartment turnovers, renovations, and property improvements.
- Identify maintenance problems and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Accurately document work performed, materials used, and expenses.
- Use mobile apps and technology to manage work orders, track time, upload photos, and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate professionally with tenants, property managers, and team members.
- Participate in the company's rotating after-hours emergency on-call schedule.
- Participate in mandatory snow removal operations, including nights, weekends, and holidays when weather conditions require.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on property maintenance or construction experience preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Solid working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and building systems.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Comfortable using smartphones, mobile applications, and digital work order systems.
- Strong organizational skills, including accurate tracking of materials, receipts, expenses, and completed work.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must have basic hand tools.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional.
- Willingness and ability to respond to after-hours emergencies and participate in snow removal operations.
We are particularly interested in someone with experience across multiple trades who can diagnose and complete complicated repairs and work with a team members to get the job done.

Important Scheduling Requirements
- Emergency On-Call: This position requires participation in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours maintenance emergencies.
- Snow Removal: MCP operates an all-hands-on-deck snow removal program. Participation is mandatory when snow or ice conditions require service, including overnight hours, weekends, and holidays.
